Women's Crew

Are you a woman interested in volunteering to help families build simple, decent, affordable homes? Would you enjoy learning construction and home repair skills in a fun, safe, team, learning environment? Then Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley’s All Women's Crew is for you!

Join the dedicated women who come together to volunteer, raise funds, provide support and training, and build friendship in Alameda and Contra Costa county. By joining the Women’s Crew, you can contribute to affordable housing within a supportive community. Established in 1994, the Women's Crew provides a meaningful and rewarding experience for women who volunteer and financially support Habitat's mission. As they assist low-income families build their homes, the Women's Crew also acquire skills they can use to repair and maintain their own homes.

Women's Build Days

The Women's Crew has slots reserved on the 2nd Saturday of each month at one of the current construction sites in both Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Workdays for rehab projects vary and are posted on the website. Habitat builds Tuesdays through Saturdays and any level of skill is welcome. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

How to Join the Crew

1) To become a member of the Women’s Crew, we ask that you become familiar with Habitat East Bay/Silicon Valley by volunteering at least two times in some capacity (construction site, in the office, serve on a committee or volunteer at the Re-Store). Sign up to volunteer today!

2) After you have volunteered twice, send a message to Volunteer@HabitatEBSV.org letting our Volunteer Coordinators know you have completed the requirements and would now like to be a member of the Women’s Crew.

It’s that easy! You are also encouraged to attend a meeting (you do not need to be a member) to learn more about the Women’s Crew. See calendar for meeting dates.
