The 1.20 acre El Rincon project site is in Bay Point, an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County, four blocks south of Willow Pass Road. The neighborhood is predominately residential with neighborhood serving retail along Willow Pass Road. The site is within walking distance to public transit and within ½ mile from the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART station. While in a moderately developed area, the site is not currently served by public utilities and infrastructure.

The El Rincon development consists of the construction of 9 new single family homes, ranging from 1,171 sq. ft., 2 bedroom – to 1,444 sq. ft., 4 bedroom homes. Each home will include an attached 2 car garage. All homes are designed to meet or exceed energy efficiency standards and incorporate sustainable building practices to achieve LEED, Energy Star and Build It Green certification.

In May 2008, Contra Costa County approved the Final Development Plan and Tentative Map, thus approving the project’s design and layout. Off-Site improvements are scheduled to begin in Spring 2010 and home construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2010. The homes are scheduled to be complete and begin to be occupied starting in winter 2011.
