Our volunteers make “Home for the Holidays” possible for hundreds of Habitat families a year! This month has been busy with volunteers preparing for the holiday break!

Martinez, Muir Ridge (20 New Homes): Volunteer crews are inside the homes of phase two! We have our electrical team installing lights (all of which are LED to help cut the electric bills) and volunteers are working on interior trim and painting. A special thanks to the students of Cal Habitat who spent everyday the week before Christmas on site to help us get ready for the holiday break!

San Jose, Delmas Ave (1 new home): On Friday, December 9th, we dedicated this single family home to the Welde Family. Volunteers, community supporters, and sponsors all gathered to congratulate Fisehaye and his family on this amazing accomplishment! Click here to see the photos from the day.

Home Repairs: In Hayward, volunteers were busy painting, installing floorings, and making other critical repairs to keep homeowners safe (and dry) as we enter the winter months!

Other Updates: For a volunteer experience of a life, join our seventh Global Village trip to El Salvador from April 1-9, 2017. Alongside other volunteers, partner families, and Habitat El Salvador staff, you’ll build homes and communities as part of our vision of a world where everyone, everywhere has a safe, decent place to live.  Applications are due on January 15 so apply today!
