VOLUNTEER AND BUILD A PATH OUT OF HOMELESSNESS  FOR OUR NEIGHBORS

Habitat is partnering with the City of San Jose and HomeFirst Services to build Bridge Housing Communities, which consist of simple dwellings in a safe environment that will help occupants transition into permanent housing.

With the help of volunteers like you,  we will build a 40-unit community on a pilot site in San Jose. Volunteers will build these units from the ground up by helping with projects like:

  • Framing
  • Installing siding and flooring
  • Roofing
  • Electrical
  • Painting
  • Landscaping

Let's Build it Together.

Volunteers Building Emergency Sleeping CabinsMore than 4,000 people are experiencing homelessness in the City of San Jose. Of these individuals, 60% have been homeless for more than a year. We can help change that!

Habitat is excited to build and manage construction of the Bridge Housing Communities and provide our homeless neighbors a path toward the stability of permanent housing. Through our General Contracting services, we can extend our cost-effective, community-centered model to serve more people and to make an even greater impact on the housing crisis.
