Position Summary:
With general oversight by the Chief Program Officer, the Community Impact Manager is responsible for driving program awareness and participation, as well as measurement and evaluation of Habitat’s effectiveness in equitably meeting community needs. They will contribute to program strategy, policy development, and advocacy, and will build strong key community alliances throughout Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and Santa Clara County. The integral nature of this role will involve a high degree of cross-functional collaboration both internally and externally.
Essential Functions of Position:
Measurement and Analysis
- Synthesize, analyze, and package complex information and data to demonstrate the impact of the department’s program portfolio.
- Use data to create narratives and visuals to drive decision-making.
- Finalize departmental performance measurement dashboards.
- Prepare and submit all required program reporting.
- Leverage and maintain Salesforce records for monthly reporting requirements.
Communications
- Develop strategic communications plans that ensure equitable racial, ethnic, and geographic representation among program participants.
- Plan and execute strategic marketing activities in collaboration with HEBSV’s communications team, including client facing materials and advertising across department’s services including print collateral, social media, and website content.
- Write and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Outreach and Partnerships
- Attend and participate in key meetings and events hosted by partners and other agencies and groups to raise and maintain awareness of Habitat’s programs among key stakeholders.
- Identify and cultivate key relationships with diverse organizations, agencies and community groups across multiple sectors within the communities we serve to drive program participation and strategy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Commitment to Habitat’s mission to build and preserve low-cost housing.
- Knowledge of and commitment to racial equity and social justice.
- MBA, MPP, MPA, MCP, or at least 5 years of comparable experience working in community outreach, grant writing, grantmaking, project management, systems management, or research.
- Lived or professional experience working with and engaging communities of color.
- Intellectual curiosity

- History of a strong relationship-building and/or experience working with diverse groups.
- Polished and concise written and verbal skills
- Enthusiasm for team-based work

- Strong qualitative and quantitative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, or Canva desirable but not required.
- Must be available to attend occasional weekend and evening events.
- Valid California driver’s license and vehicle ownership strongly preferred.
Working Environment:
Work will primarily be performed from home with occasional in-person meetings and events which may include evenings or weekends.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is based on experience. We offer health, vision, and dental insurance to full-time employees and cover 90% of employee premiums, and 50% for spouse and dependents. We provide a 4% annual salary match to your 403(b)-retirement plan after one year of service, with a three-year cliff vesting. We also offer generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.
Salary Range: $95,000 to $100,000 DOE
