November Construction Update

Written by Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley | November 18, 2022

The progress our volunteers have made on Habitat construction sites across the East Bay and Silicon Valley has us just feeling extra thankful this Thanksgiving holiday. Check out how:

Oakland - Renovation

While the bulk of the work is complete and we are currently awaiting final inspections, we will have some future work to accomplish before this gorgeous craftsman is ready for its new homeowners to move in. Continue to check for future openings to help with landscaping and put the final touches on this beautiful renovation!

Walnut Creek - New Home Development, Esperanza Place

Construction continues to roll along in Walnut Creek where volunteers are weatherizing the first 23 homes at this site for winter (yes, winter!). Current tasks include framing, housewrap, and roofing – just to name a few! Join us at Esperanza Place to learn a new skill, serve your community, and meet some friendly folks while you’re at it!

San Jose – Renovation

Volunteer opportunities to help us renovate this historic building are anticipated to start early next year. Stay tuned for updates!

Bay Point – New Home Development, Pacifica Landing

We’re in the final stages of design and permitting on this new home development. We anticipate kicking off construction early next year!
