4th and Reed, Home Renovation - San Jose

Things are looking more zipped up than ever at our renovation of this century-old treasure! As we near the end of construction, our volunteers have been helping us finish up flooring and other interior work. Now, we're focusing on getting appliances and lumbing fixtures installed and utilities connections finalized—essentials like water, sewer, telecommunications, and electrical! Meanwhile, we are preparing to replace the sidewalk in front of the building, and working on storage sheds, drip irrigation for the lanscaping, tree planting, and a permanent deck in the back. Sequoia Grove, New Home Development - Hayward

We've been busy in Hayward, and we need you with us! Drywall is almost complete on five of the 10 affordable homes at Sequoia Grove, while framing is just about done on the remaining five. Sound like we've gotten a lot done? We have—but we'll need a lot of volunteerism in the coming months to keep the momentum going! Whether you're a construction novice or a seasoned builder, you'll be led and supported by our fantastic crew of new AmeriCorps service members. Volunteer in Hayward with us, or make a day of it with your colleagues through our team building program! However you help out, get involved to help make homeownership a reality for 10 families at Sequoia Grove.
