Building more affordable housing means building more opportunity for families to thrive. While it is not easy to build in California, Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the state continue to work hard to change the future of thousands of Californian families through housing.

Now, you can join the fight for change when you CHECK BOX #437 on your CA tax return this year.

When you designate Habitat for your voluntary contribution, you’ll help us build a better California by providing housing opportunities for some of our state’s most vulnerable populations like seniors, teachers, social workers, and Veterans.

A voluntary contribution is an election made by the taxpayer to designate a portion or all of their tax return to charitable funds. Voluntary contributions may be made on the following forms:

  • 540 2EZ
  • 540
  • 540NR Long or Short Form
  • 541, Schedule C

Your voluntary contribution will be permitted as a charitable contribution on next year’s Federal Schedule A. Click here for more information about voluntary contributions.

Giving made even easier! Supporting affordable housing is as simple as checking a box. Download our Voluntary Contribution form to give to your accountant!
