Last month, Habitat East Bay/Silicon Valley held a very unique edition of our annual cycling event, Cycle of Hope. In its first two years, Cycle of Hope drew hundreds of cyclists to ride and raise support for affordable housing. For our third year, we had planned an even bigger, better Cycle of Hope – until the COVID-19 pandemic rewrote reality for all of us.

Rather than cancel this year’s ride, we rewrote the script as well, giving people the opportunity to join the effort from anywhere, and support Habitat while remaining safely distanced. Because we knew that in this difficult time, Habitat serves some of the people and families most impacted.

Thank you Cycle of Hope Riders!

We held Cycle of Hope: Ride from Home because we needed the support of our community more than ever – and our community stepped up. In fact, 567 people stepped up, and hundreds more joined the effort by giving, resulting in $275,700 raised! Some hit the bike path on official Cycle of Hope courses in Silicon Valley and the East Bay, while others from around the Bay Area, across the country, and even worldwide cycled, ran, walked, and hiked on paths of their own design.

Relive some highlights from the ride by browsing through our photo album and watching the Virtual Finish Line Celebration from our closing weekend!

Thank you to all who supported this year’s unforgettable Cycle of Hope, from our Presenting Sponsor, Patelco Credit Union, and other incredible corporate partners, to our athletes and our donors. When you put foot to pedal, you helped someone take a first step toward permanent housing. When you crossed your finish line, you helped a family cross the threshold of a home they never dreamed they could own. When you raised support for Habitat, you helped raise the hopes of someone working toward their financial goals. When you joined the Cycle of Hope community, you helped keep a neighbor in her home and rooted in her community. We are so grateful for your commitment to affordable housing, and we look forward to Cycle of Hope 2021.

We are 92% of the way to our $300,000 fundraising goal for this year’s Cycle of Hope. Help us finish strong by giving here.

WEB COH Thank you 2020 Sponsors
