December Construction Update

As 2023 comes to an end, we step back and reflect on everything this community has accomplished. By coming together - whether volunteering on the construction site, attending an event, donating online, or applying to make a dream come true - this Habitat community has done some incredible things this year.  See for yourself in our 2023 Video: Building Momentum:

Construction sites now open to volunteers:

Walnut Creek - New Home Development, Esperanza Place

Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing interior work is completed inside the first 23 homes of this 42-home development. Parking lot paving has also been finished!

Now to get creative with interior painting and paving sidewalks! 

Oakland - Home Renovation

From one Habitat homeowner to the next! We’re renovating a Habitat home that was recently sold back to Habitat. Once renovations are done, we’ll sell the home to another Habitat family! 

Last month, we finished installing new windows and started replacing siding. Up next, painting, leveling floors, and electrical work!

San Jose - 4th & Reed Renovation

Soil remediation - DONE!
Asbestos removal - DONE!
Foundation work - ALMOST DONE! Foundation work should be complete next month with interior renovations set to begin in February.  In the meantime, we have been working removing interior doors and demoing the current HVAC system.
