Oakland - Renovation
We’re just days away from starting renovations on our home in Oakland! While we wait for final sign-off on design permits from the City, Habitat staff has been preparing for some major changes to be done on this single-family home – changes like taking it from a 3-bedroom to a 4-bedroom!
Walnut Creek - New Home Development, Esperanza Place
After a rainy few weeks in Walnut Creek, the ground has dried and the Habitat team has gotten to work. Just last week we started on rough grading and the building pads for the first 23 homes of this 42-home development. Next up, underground utilities!
San Jose - Renovation
In San Jose, we're finalizing plans and getting approvals for a thorough renovation and update of this century-old, 4-unit building. Stay tuned for when we anticipate construction to start!
Pittsburg - Recycle
We're well under way on this "recycle" - which is how Habitat keeps a home in the family, so to speak! Since its previous homeowners have moved, they've sold the home back to Habitat, and it's our job (and yours, hopefully!) to get it ready for a new Habitat family!
With interior work mostly complete, we’ve been working on exterior updates like rebuilding the driveway and installing windows. Volunteer opportunities at this site are winding down, and we hope to have a family selected for move-in by mid-February.
