Volunteering with Habitat over the summer is a great way to get outdoors, create memories with friends and family, and build connections with your community.  We've got some progress updates to share thanks to the individual volunteers, community groups, corporate teams, and Regular Volunteers who have braved the heat and joined us on site this summer!

Under Construction
_Construction Update Blog - Esperanza Place - 550x350 (1)Walnut Creek - New Home Development, Esperanza Place

The 23 townhomes in phase one of this 42-home development are officially enclosed - all windows and exteriors doors are installed, and siding and roofing are in place!

Next up? Exterior painting, along with installing drywall and solar panels, building interior windowsills and door trim, and getting the kitchens framed and ready for cabinetry!

Habitat staff is still hard at work building out the parking lot and eco-friendly bioretention basin.

Coming Soon
San Jose – Renovation, 4th and Reed

We're ready to get started on renovations to transform this historic building into homes for four future Habitat homebuyers! We're just waiting for our encroachment permit to be ready, and we'll be getting started on foundation work!

We may not be able to accommodate volunteers at this stage of construction, but stay tuned for future opportunities to get involved by signing up for our monthly volunteer newsletter, "Hammering Home."

Bay Point - New Home Development, Pacifica Landing

This project is shovel-ready. Once the county's Board of Supervisors gives us the go-ahead on our Final Map, we'll get site work underway! We hope to welcome volunteers to this new site in October!
