40th Anniversary Build-A-Thon
September 17-19, 2026 | Walnut Creek, CA
In September, we’ll host a community-favorite building event, deeply ingrained in the Habitat DNA: The Build-a-Thon! Over three days, we’ll engage approximately 400 volunteers at Esperanza Place in Walnut Creek.
The Build-a-Thon is a blitz build, compressing months’ worth of construction progress into just a few days. Meanwhile, the fundraising efforts of Build-A-Thon volunteers bring in critical investment that moves Habitat’s work forward even when the event has ended.
President's Brunch
In May, our President’s Brunch will gather some of Habitat’s most ardent supporters for a dialogue with Janice Jensen, Habitat’s President & CEO, and other Habitat leadership and homeowners.
While the Brunch will bring hundreds of attendees together in Lafayette, the atmosphere will be intimate and conversational. Guests will enjoy an “insider’s” look at Habitat’s leadership strategy, the housing landscape, the impact of our work, and the profound ripple effect of their investment.
40 Playhouses Celebrating 40 Years
Celebrate Habitat's 40th Anniversary by helping us build 40 playhouses for 40 Bay Area families throughout our anniversary year of 2026! This unique team building experience offers corporate teams a fulfilling day out of the office, additional sponsorship benefits, and the opportunity to be a part of a collective movement to raise awareness and critical funds for affordable housing.
Christmas in the Park
Get in on the most creative–and cutest–competition around! Christmas in the Park sponsors get their teams together to build adorable custom playhouses – which will be on public display on San Jose throughout the holiday season. While you’ll be competing for the public’s vote and the honor of holding the Cocoa Cup, the real reward is in all the families that Habitat can serve with the support of your sponsorship.

STEM PLAYHOUSE
Sponsoring STEM Playhouse is a unique opportunity to support Habitat for Humanity, our local schools, and children of partnering organizations. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Playhouse is a project-based, hands-on learning opportunity for middle school students that aligns directly with Common Core and NGSS Standards. STEM Playhouse sponsors allow students of partnering schools to participate in a Playhouse build with an accompanying curriculum. Students are able to apply concepts learned in the classroom, work in a team, problem solve, and give back to their community, as the completed Playhouses are donated to families through partnering nonprofits.

Gardens grow more than plants and produce - they grow community. Through a partnership with Oakland’s Parks and Recreation Department, Habitat's Green Spaces volunteer opportunity is welcoming corporate and community groups to help us rehabilitate and enhance the city’s community gardens.

Habitat is collaborating with other nonprofits, our corporate construction partners, and educational institutions to bring communities the Trade Support Program.
By providing a supportive environment that fosters applied learning, Habitat will help students develop technical skills and practical construction experience. And by leveraging our corporate partnerships, Habitat can connect students directly with industry professionals for mentorship and career resources.
