Cycle of Hope 2025 Patelco Swag Reveal

Our Cycle of Hope athletes are in it to win it for the community—knowing that their ride helps Habitat make homeownership a reality for more families. But, that doesn't mean they can't enjoy some perks for themselves while they're at it! 

Our Presenting Sponsor, Patelco Credit Union, couldn't agree more. That's why for each of their eight years presenting Cycle of Hope, Patelco has always put a lot of thought and heart into the giveaway they offer riders in their athlete packets. And 2025's goody is a good one—an all-in-one portable bike tool, so our riders are never without some backup.

"Patelco has a commitment to our members and our community to provide the best products and services, and this includes our giveaways!" says Cara Houck, Patelco's Community Relations Partner. They polled some avid cyclists this year, who all agreed that this tool was a must-have. "Ensuring cyclist safety is a priority," says Cara, "so we hope this handy tool will help with any challenges that arise while you are out training or on the course!"

It turns out, that's not all Patelco has for riders this year. After all, Patelco is not only Cycle of Hope's Presenting Sponsor, they're also hosting the ride at their Dublin headquarters. So, they'll be out in force, cheering cyclists along the route and from the Patelco booth—where they'll be handing out one more surprise freebie to commemorate this year's event. 

It's become a time-honored tradition to see Patelco team members throughout Cycle of Hope, whether they're on their bikes or lining the route with pom-poms in Patelo red. Being out in the community is baked into their ethos, and Cycle of Hope is a prime example: "When the opportunity to support this event came along, we couldn't wait to be there. Our team loves to be involved with Habitat through volunteering at build sites and building playhouses at our HQ, so joining our members on a cycling team or being there to cheer riders on is an exciting and fun new way to show up."

We can't wait for the community to show up, too, where you'll find beautiful cycling routes at every skill level, along with a family-friendly festival with food, drinks, music, games, and more. And, of course, swag from Patelco and other sponsors, a 2025 Cycle of Hope t-shirt, a finisher's medal, and an exclusive commemorative jersey for our most committed fundraisers!

It's all happening this October 19th at Patelco Credit Union's headquarters in Dublin—a fact that, if Cara's being honest, "is something we brag about! Welcoming cyclists and community volunteers to our headquarters helps us showcase the importance of creating affordable housing... we hope it is the best event yet!"
