June Construction Update

By Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley

Fremont (Central Commons – 30 new homes, 2nd phase): Thanks to the support of our virtual volunteers who participated in our Virtual Women’s Leadership Build, we’re making dramatic progress at Central Commons. We have been busy putting in the final floors and countertops in Building 3, and interior finishes on Buildings 4 and 5. And the streets are paved! Check out the progress in this virtual tour of our construction site!

San Jose (Bridge Housing Communities – San Jose):  We have been wrapping up drywall on the first 20 cabins of the 40 that will be placed at the Felipe Avenue community. And we’re keeping that momentum going by framing the next set of cabins! Click here to read more about how this project is serving our neighbors in San Jose.

San Jose (Panda Lane – 1 home renovation): In order to get this home move-in ready for a new Habitat family, we have been doing some light rehab. After fixing up the kitchen and completing a punch list, the homeowners are hammering through their last sweat equity hours and preparing to call this place home!
