40th Anniversary Dream Maker: Ava Community Energy

Building homes, communities, and hope these past 40 years has not been an easy feat and it’s one we couldn’t accomplish alone. They're also about creating a sustainable future — and increasing access to the clean energy that will build it. It's why their mission is so closely aligned with Habitat for Humanity's work to build affordable, sustainable homes and strengthen communities.  And that alignment has inspired Ava to partner with Habitat in myriad ways since 2019, through sponsoring team building days, backing events like Cycle of Hope, and underwriting new, climate-forward elements as a Development Sponsor at Sequoia Grove. 

Ava hasn't stopped there. When they learned that Habitat for Humanity is celebrating 40 years of serving the East Bay and Silicon Valley, they rose to the occasion with a major investment for our anniversary — expanding the scope of their support to new areas like our ReStore. By sponsoring this year's Earth Month, Ava has helped us offer an April full of promotions, including a special Free Furniture Friday where shoppers got a chance to grab Ava giveaways, learn about energy incentives and resources, and engage with interactive displays.
