It's been nearly a year since we officially broke ground on ten new affordable homes in Hayward, and what a year it's been! With the help of our incredible volunteers, Sequoia Grove has gone from dirt lot to bustling construction site, from foundations to roof shingles. Soon, with your help, we'll see homeowners holding new house keys.

However, we're not there yet! We've gotten lots of great work done, but there is still plenty left to do in the months ahead. Recently, Assistant Construction Manager, Jared, gave us an on-the-ground look at the progress so far, and let us know how everyone can pitch in to take us the rest of the way "home."

Homeownership at Sequoia Grove

With three- and four-bedroom homes ranging from 1,340-1,550 square feet, Sequoia Grove is perfect for families looking for an affordable path to homeownership. The 10 townhomes at Sequoia Grove will be sold through affordable mortgages to qualifying partner families earning no more than 80% AMI for Alameda County. And as our most sustainable development to date, Sequoia Grove supports the health of its future homeowners and the planet.

Want to explore the possibility of homeownership through Habitat at Sequoia Grove or our other developments? Start by familiarizing yourself with our program guidelines, fill out a pre-application (or print one to mail), and attend an orientation (two dates left in August!). If you're a possible candidate for our Homeownership Program, you'll be invited to complete a full application.

Selection of future homeowners at Sequoia Grove is under way, so learn more today!
