How to Apply for a Condo at 4th and Reed

    1. Make Sure You Qualify
      The four homes at Fourth and Reed will be sold through affordable mortgages to qualifying partner families earning very low incomes (up to 50% AMI) and low incomes (up to 50-80% AMI). Income qualification is one among a variety of factors we'll review when assessing applications for homeownership.

    2. Complete an Inquiry Form Online
      For this specific development, we ask interested applicants to complete an inquiry form online and a member of our Homeownership team will send you the application created for these condos.

How to Apply for a Townhome at Sequoia Grove

    1. Make Sure You Qualify
      The 10 townhomes at Sequoia Grove will be sold through affordable mortgages to qualifying partner families earning no more than 80% AMI for Alameda County. The main areas we review for our Homeownership Program are income, credit, U.S. legal residency, and whether you are a first-time homebuyer. Bear in mind that our funding partner has additional application and partnership guidelines for Sequoia Grove, which differ slightly from Habitat's general Homeownership Program structure.

    1. Complete a Pre-Application
      You can submit a pre-application online or by downloading a pdf version to print and submit by mail.

    2. Attend an Orientation
      All interested applicants should attend an online Homeownership Orientation. This 45-minute online presentation reviews our program's guidelines and application process. You'll learn what to expect when you purchase a home with Habitat and more.

    3. Complete a Full Application
      Once you submit a pre-application and attended an orientation, we can confirm you meet our program's guidelines and invite you to complete a full application.

      Keep in mind that only applicants whose FULL application is approved by the end of the summer will enter this development's lottery in partnership with the City of Hayward.

      The remaining 19 townhomes at Esperanza Place will be sold through affordable mortgages to qualifying partner families and individuals earning no more than 120% AMI for Contra Costa County. The main areas we review for applications to our Homeownership Program are income, credit, U.S. legal residency, and whether you are a first-time homebuyer.
