All Home Preservation projects Habitat is currently accepting bids for are listed below. Click the Downloadable Bid Request link for a PDF with additional information including photos. Most projects posted will be in the $5,000 - $150,000 range and all are within the service areas of Santa Clara, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties. Projects that are still listed past the Bid Due Date have not yet received enough bids and are still open.

Bid Process
Each bid posted was developed by Habitat staff based upon an inspection of the property. Items are listed in order of their priority. Contractors must provide a complete bid using this “Bid and Proposal” section at the back of the Bid Request document.
Bids must be received the due date listed. Late or incomplete bids will not be accepted. Contractors will be notified if they have been selected within ten (10) business days of the bid closing. Requests for further information or clarification regarding a project must be submitted to the contact e-mail listed on the Bid Request five (5) business days prior to the bid closing. Responses will be e-mailed to all contractors three (3) days prior to bid closing.
Become a Pre-Approved Contractor
Contractors interested in bidding on Habitat projects must meet the following requirements:
- Active Class “B” General Building Contractors License
- Licensed, bonded, insured, and in good standing with the Contractor’s State License Board (“CSLB”)
In addition, contractors selected for projects in the Renew AC program will be required to provide the following documentation prior to starting work:
- Construction Contract signed by Contractor and Homeowner
- Completed W-9
- Proof of business license for city where project is taking place
- Proof of current general, auto, and workers’ compensation insurance policies (includes subcontractors)
- California Department of Health Lead Safe Supervisor/Worker Certification (for homes built prior to 1978)
